Studio Pomegranate was started in 2009 during the time when there was a need in Kolkata for a photography studio that had everything: tools, a comfortable space, and experts. There was a needs for a service provider who could do all the heavy lifting from planning to execution to a timely delivery. There were a lot of photography studios in the city, but they were either stuck with limited resources and didn't have a clear vision or professional infrastructure. The only person who was above it all was the iconic photographer Samir Das, who only did portraits on film and that too in black and white. No one seemed to be able to do everything until Studio Pomegranate came along with photography services that really covered everything.
